FOOD NETWORK CHALLENGE - Award Cake

Taped: September 22, 2006        Aired on Food Network: April 8, 2007

Bronwen Weber of Frosted Art and Jennifer Bartos did it again. This time Bronwen was invited to compete in a Challenge to create a Food Network themed cake. The winner of this competition will recreate the cake for the 1st annual Food Network Award Show at the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival in February. The challenge taping was on Friday, September 22, 2006 at Comcast Media Center in Littleton, CO (just south of Denver). The other competitors were Colette Peters of Colette's Cakes and Marina Sousa of Just Cake. Wow! It was quite a trio of cake decorators and all were past Challenge winners. Each got their own assistant as usual, but then they were also assigned an assistant that had proven themself by winning a regional cake decorating competition. Bronwen worked with Orlando Serrano of Chicago's Roeser's Bakery. This one was exciting and should be interesting when it airs.
